The Mediafin newspapers and websites have had a great year. This is the conclusion of the CIM sales and Metriweb figures.
In 2008, the newspapers sold an average of 55,149 copies per day, an increase by 0.2%. Both newspapers thus contradict the national newspaper market, which decreased by 1.4 %.
The business websites Tijd.be and Lecho.be have experienced explosive growth. In the 4th quarter of 2008, they saw an average of 183,221 unique visitors per day. This is an increase of 102,000 visitors over the course of one year, so more than double (+125%). With these growth figures, the Mediafin websites surpass the market trend (+28%) by far.
